Oslo Innovation Week

The Oslo region is the most densely populated in Norway, and it is where a majority of Norwegian companies are located, together with various educational institutions and government offices. Oslo Innovation Week (OIW) is a week of activities designed to build a bridge between innovative companies in the region, and similar clusters elsewhere in Norway and abroad. It is supported by Innovation Norway and the City of Oslo, and has become an important marker in the event calendar. Many of those participating are young entrepreneurs, and the Foundation feels it is important to convey the principles of ethically responsible business practices to such an audience.

The Foundation’s Summit on Peace through Trade concludes the opening symposium on the first day of OIW. During the opening symposium, the Norwegian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre, will hold a keynote address. Last year, the ministry released a white paper on “Corporate Social Responsibility in a Global Economy.”
