The 2012 Business for Peace Honourees will be presented with their awards, following Keynote speeches by H.E. Alexandra Christina, Countess of Fredriksborg and Mr. Roberto Servitje Sendra.
Registration and participation is free
The award ceremony is arranged by the City Of Oslo, the Business for Peace Foundation, and the Oslo Chamber of Commerce.
Summit registration begins with a reception at 15.00, at the Oslo City Hall. The formal part of the programme follows from 16.00.

Professor Dr. Javier Aranzadi will observe the Keynote addresses and subsequent panel discussion, and will report his impressions of the content of these in a web-summary that will also be distributed to participants by other means. Professor Aranzadi is a specialist in business ethics and the philosophical foundations of economic systems. His latest book is “Liberalism against Liberalism.” Javier Aranzadi is Professor of Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.
The Oslo Business for Peace Award will be presented for the third time as the highlight of the Oslo Business for Peace Summit on ethical business practices. The Oslo Award aims to be the highest distinction given to a businessperson for outstanding accomplishments in the area of ethical business. Seven Business for Peace Honourees are nominated following a world-wide search for candidates that meet the criteria for the award.
The independent jury consists of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Professor Muhammad Yunus and Nobel Prize in Economics recipient Professor A. Michael Spence.
The Award Ceremony is followed by the Honourees’ Dinner at Akershus Fortress.
