Reports to: Managing Director
Job Summary: The Partnership Director will be responsible for developing and managing the Foundation’s partnership relations, recruiting new partners, and developing partner-driven activities and the Business for Peace Summit platform.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and manage international partnership relations, to secure the funding of the Foundation’s activities and targeted growth
- Work with partners to develop the value proposition and involvement in the different activities of the Foundation, including partner events at the annual Summit
- Research, identify and recruit new international partners to the Foundation, with assessments of partner alignment with the Foundation’s values and objectives
- Develop the partnership propositions and presentation material, and ensure a regular partner dialogue to address opportunities and challenges
- Involve partner representatives in relevant fora, such as advisory boards and committees, to co-develop content, speaker programmes and the direction of future events
- Plan and manage partner contributions according to budgets, and manage partner activities at the Business for Peace Summit through execution, on time and within budgets
- Liaise with Communication and Programme Directors on how to maximise value and visibility for the Foundation’s partners
- Take part in other areas of the Foundation’s work as relevant and required
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Higher education, international experience an advantage
- Minimum 6-8 years’ relevant experience from similar work or organisation, including corporate strategy, business development and corporate sponsorships
- Understanding of developments in international business, the sustainability landscape and key drivers of change, including the role of technology and finance
- Excellent English skills, oral and written. Good understanding of Norwegian preferable
- Strong communication skills, international experience preferable
- Excellent collaboration skills, ability to think strategically and innovatively
- Willingness to execute day-to-day tasks, work independently and get the job done
- Leadership capabilities for managing a team of interns and volunteers
- Good project management and problem solving skills, and an ability to work under pressure

It is our pleasure to announce that Eric S. Maskin has joined the Business for Peace Award Committee. Mr. Maskin is the Adams University Professor at Harvard. He has made contributions to game theory, contract theory, social choice theory, political economy, and other areas of economics. In 2007, he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics (with L. Hurwicz and R. Myerson) for laying the foundations of mechanism design theory, which is the study of how to achieve social or economic goals when information about citizens’ preferences is incomplete.
